  • What should I do before the first day of school?

    There are several key things you can do to prepare for the first day of school.

    • Setup an area for your student to keep their items for schooling.
    • Think about how you will schedule your day and make a tentative schedule.  As you start school this will change.  Add in tasks such as schoolwork, laundry, outside time, breaks, etc.
    • Make sure you can log in and access your platform.
    • Check out the calendar tab for live sessions and platform tabs for more information on the platform you will be using.
  • How many hours do I need to spend on my courses? What happens if I miss a day?

    Plan on spending 4-6 hours a day in lessons depending on the student.

     

    If you do miss a day, please contact your teacher or mentor and let them know.  They will help you in next steps.

     

    In the K–8 environment, the parent acts as a Learning Coach who facilitates progress through daily lessons. Weekly lesson plans are provided, which update automatically as the child progresses.

     

    In the high school program, the parent still plays an important supportive role to help the student stay on task and ensure follow-through on his or her assignments.

     

  • Are there activities in which my school can participate?

    Yes, there are a variety of clubs, virtual field trips, as well as instructor-hosted office hours. View the Calendar for events and ask your instructor for more details.

  • Who do I contact with questions about materials?

    Log into the OLS to track material shipment. Note, you may receive multiple shipments for materials.

  • My courses are not showing up or I don't have access to my courses. What do I do?

    Your instructor your first point of contact.  He/she is also a great source of support so don't hesitate to reach out to them.

  • How do I contact my instructor(s)?

    Online School Systems Platform: Your instructor(s) will reach out to you via your online school email in the first weeks of school and provide contact information and class sessions. It is important to check your school email daily.

     

    PEAK Systems Platform: Your instructor(s) will reach out to you via the supplied student email in the first weeks of school and provide contact information and class sessions. It is important to check your email daily.

     

  • How do I know who my PEAK Systems Mentor is?

    If you are on the PEAK platform your mentor will show up in your PEAK account. Your teacher is also a great source of support so don't hesitate to reach out to them.

  • I tried setting up my Online School systems account, but I don't have a registration ID. What can I do?

    When you were approved for enrollment, you should have received an email from registrations@k12.com that contains a registration ID and instructions on how to set up your account. If you did not receive an email or need support, please call K12 Customer Care at 866-512-2273.

  • What is my user name and password? When do I receive it and how is it different from my student's?

    Online School Systems: Once approved you will receive an email with your registration ID. Simply visit https://login-learn.k12.com/#login to setup the Learning Coach and student account.

     

    *A student account must be created for all students. Learning coaches and parents have a different user name and password than their student.

     

    *If you cannot find the email, visit the Service Station and create a case under the Student Support tab.

     

    PEAK Systems: Once approved and courses have been assigned you will receive an email with your username and password.  You can access your courses at https://peak.getfueled.com/#login.

  • My PEAK User Name does not work. Now what?

    Please contact your school or mentor.
